pictures in my mind of you
are fading in the sun
my mind has tricked me in the past
this time i'm moving on
everything passes all of it change
it's just a matter of time
choose a passion you can trust
to get you off the line
you're a mystery
i have a friend who cuts herself
she uses her own blood
to paint her sad expression
crying out for love
she wants to feel herself alive
and the pain keeps coming thru
i pray that some great light will shine
on her freedom's avenue
she's a mystery
give me colors spilling off the page
beyond the binding frame
and i believe that rounded curves
have more spirit than the squares
when i look out into the ocean
it’s more than i can know
when i look into this heart of mine
there's a world all of it's own
i'm a mystery
