in the moment of this quiet peace
flame of a candle is still
that's where i hear the silent sound
and memory of love is full
as i close my eyes to see
a vision or a sound from within
sometimes i feel your breath upon my skin
and i remember eternity
all the noise from a chattering world
blending to a point in space
take us back to silence
where every sound is born
and open the door to grace
blazing heat of fire
coldness of the snow
in this sacred space where we engage
nothing will carry me
like the power of these wings
